LEAD 2021 will be April 6th and 7th
The National Association of Social Workers Oregon Chapter invites you to join us for our virtual, 2-day LEAD Event! Learn about advocacy and social justice from local leaders, gain an understanding of the legislative process in Oregon, and practice advocacy with your peers from all over the state.
This year, our policy priority is the expansion of the CAHOOTS program (HB 2417), creating community-based mental health first response to replace police in responding to nonviolent, behavioral health related 911 calls. Learn about HB 2417 and help us advocate to the Oregon Legislature.
The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world. NASW works to enhance the professional growth and development of its members, to create and maintain professional standards for social workers and to advance sound social policies. This year’s conference is a continuation of the social work organization’s ongoing efforts to train social justice leaders of the future and support current social workers in influencing social justice legislation.
